Daniël JONGEJAN, M.Sc.
Daniël holds a master degree in Int’l Development Studies and a bachelor degree in Business Economics. Prior to Biome. Daniël served as Regional Director Asia-Pacific for PUR Project for 5 years and developed several socio-environmental projects and carbon-financed programs. Daniël co-designed the audit standard for clients of the firms and conducted more than 100 audits in supply chains of Chanel, Guerlain and Clarins. In 2020, Daniël co-founded Kennemer Eco Solutions Pte. Ltd., which originates and trades VCS-certified credits from an ARR- and REDD+ projects in The Philippines. After exiting this business, Daniël was engaged with the government of The Netherlands, where he managed a government fund of € 400 mio. Daniël co-founded Biome in 2022.
Aart VAN DEN BOS, M.Ba.
Aart is a social entrepreneur with a strong urge to improve the world for future generations through innovation and pioneering. After exiting his business in fruit and vegetable import and export, he founded various companies (Verbos Business Development, Soil & More, Moringa Wize, aESTI – Agricultural Ecosystem Services Trading Initiative) and Biome.Finance. All of which combine social, ecological and financial returns. He is active in sustainable (regenerative) agriculture and looks at the world from a holistic point of view. He links important topics such as food security, climate change, water, biodiversity and sanitation through innovative revenue-models. Furthermore, he is a board member of various international organisations. He is married, has 3 children and holds an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management and followed the global social entrepreneurship course on Berkely-Haas California.
